Inv# 102533 / CAS PB300 Inspection & Easy Weigh PX60


Introduction.

A customer brought in a CAS PB300 scale with dents and corrosion on the scale plate, saying that it would not power and recharge, and asked us to repair it. We asked the customer what happened, but due to language barriers, we could not get any further answers. We think it probably fell off the desk or shelf. 

1. Inspection: 

The adapter socket inside the scale was broken, so I replaced it and plugged in the adapter, but there was no power. The adapter might be broken, so I plugged it in with a new adapter and it didn't power up. Of course, I put in a new rechargeable battery and it didn't work either. If so, it's a motherboard problem, then the next thing to do is to swap the motherboard and socket to get it to power up. And then we need to check the weight, and if it fails the weight check, then we need to calibrate it, and if it still doesn't fit, then we need to change the load cell. But here, if we need to change the motherboard, socket, recalibrate it, or change the load cell, then I think it's better for the customer to buy a new one, because it's a better decision for the condition of the machine and the future, so I recommended a new one. 

2. Solution. 

Coincidentally, we didn't have PB300 scale in stock and the customer needed a scale quickly, so we introduced Easy Weigh PK60 scale and the customer was happy to buy it.
